Mission Statement

Established in 2016, the Wayward School House tutoring co-op is a group of parents

working together to provide educational resources, instructional assistance, and social

activities for homeschooling families. We aim to create an environment where students

can interact with their peers in a safe, stimulating, and peaceful setting. Where classroom

numbers and student/tutor ratios allow for each student to get the attention they need to

thrive academically. Where parents can fully participate in their children’s education

without the burden of having to do so alone. Where the classroom doesn’t rely heavily on

digital technology and screen time, but emphasizes learning through personal interaction,

getting outside, and hands on practice. Where students have a community that supports

them in their academic, emotional, and social growth. Where kids can be kids.
